Yorkshire Warrior Challenge

Team RPM pushed their strength and fitness levels to the limit at the end of April at this years Yorkshire Warrior!

The course was set in the stunning grounds of Ripley Castle and included an absolute beast of an obstacle – KillerManJaro – built 8m upwards! Plus freezing lake crossings which nearly saw a grown man weep…

The course saw team RPM take on; mountains of mud, slimy water, slippery slides, barbed wire, electric fencing, log carrying, sand bag carrying and so much more!

The team managed to raise over £6,500 for Scott (Andy’s son) who suffers from the terminal life shortening condition Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

The fundraising is to give Scott a better quality of life and make life more dignified. The relentless condition (Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy) will see Scott lose the ability to do anything for himself and ultimately cut his life short as his heart and lungs fail him. We need to raise money to build and furnish a ground floor bathroom and bedroom to house all the medical equipment he will need to make his shortened life as comfortable as possible. Some of the equipment he needs include a specialist rise and fall bath, ceiling tracking system and wash and dry toilet.

“Thank you to everyone who has supported and helped us to raise such a fantastic amount of money for Scott. We’re thrilled and humbled by everyones generosity” Andy

Well done to everyone who took part, it was a great team effort with loads of laughs round a very tough course. We’ll be setting our next challenge very soon – watch this space.
