Everything You Need to Know About the New Porsche 992.2 Carrera S
Porsche has just revealed the latest version of its legendary 911 Carrera S, and as you’d expect, it’s had a power boost, a sharper design and some clever upgrades under the skin.
More Power, More Fun
At the heart of the new 911 Carrera S is an improved 3.0-litre twin-turbo flat-six engine, now producing 473bhp – 30bhp more than the last model. That might not sound like much, but it shaves time off the 0-62mph sprint, bringing it down to just 3.3 seconds. In other words, it’s seriously quick!
Porsche has achieved this by tweaking the turbochargers and improving the cooling system, making sure the engine runs at peak performance. And if you’ve got a long stretch of track ahead, you’ll be able to hit a top speed of 191mph.
A Fresh Look with Serious Performance
At first glance, the 992.2 Carrera S doesn’t look dramatically different, but Porsche has made some subtle but important changes. The front end has been tweaked for better aerodynamics and the rear has been inspired by the more aggressive 911 Turbo.
Stopping power has been improved too, with bigger brakes taken straight from the 911 GTS – 408mm discs at the front, 380mm at the back. The Carrera S now comes with staggered 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels, wrapped in high-performance tyres for better grip.
A More Luxurious Cabin
Inside, the 911 Carrera S is as premium as ever, with a mix of high-quality leather and Porsche’s latest digital driver display. The Coupe gives you the option to remove the rear seats for a more focused, driver-first experience, while the Cabriolet version keeps them as standard.
