Porsche Cayenne Review / History

Porsche’s first introduced the Cayenne as mid-size luxury SUV back in 2002. It was the first Porsche to feature a Diesel as an engine option and the model has earned a great reputation for both performance and handling.

2008 saw the release of an updated Cayenne range with new and improved engines. The 6-speed Tiptronic S was standard-fit for the Cayenne S and Cayenne Turbo, while the V6 versions had a 6-speed manual.

The official second generation Cayenne was launched in 2010 at Geneva Motorshow with new engines installed, including a brand new Hybrid V6 supercharged that allowed you to switch from electric to full power.

The face lift version was introduced in 2014 and received a restyled design, new features, and upgraded engines which now offered a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter engine option.
