RPM Specialist Cars are pleased to present this 1982 Porsche 911 3.0 SC Coupe for sale, finished in Guards Red with a Grey and Black leather interior. The 3.0 SC is well known for its durability and usability within the air-cooled range, and this example has been maintained and developed over time with a clear focus on usability and driving feel.
This example has recently undergone a full glass-out respray, with various trims and seals replaced during the process. The work is supported by photos and videos within the history file and represents a key part of the car’s ongoing upkeep.
A number of carefully selected upgrades have been carried out, including Rennline RS-style lightweight door cards, Rennline floorboards and door pins, and a Porsche MOMO classic steering wheel. A Blaupunkt Valencia head unit has been installed alongside Rockford Fosgate speakers, maintaining a period-style appearance with improved usability. The car has also been lowered by Rennspeed, followed by a full steering geometry setup. It sits on a set of upgraded genuine Fuchs 7 and 8 inch alloys, these have also been freshly refurbished and finished in a black powder coat, with a set of Michelin tyres. This SC also benefits from a stainless-steel Dansk back box with a pre-silencer delete, along with Goodridge braided brake hoses and a gear selector mechanism overall, this included a new shift linkage, bushings and centre return spring.
Porsche 911 3.0 SC History
Originally supplied by Ian Anthony in 1982, the car spent its early life in Northern Ireland before returning to the UK in 2014. The V5 within the history file suggests a total of six previous owners, between the two countries.
While there is no original service book, the car is supported by a comprehensive history file, including invoices and receipts dating back to the 1990s. Recorded mileage includes 83,719 miles in 1995, 98,500 miles in 2019 and 100,000 miles in 2022, with the car now showing 101,019 miles, reflecting steady use over an extended period.
The file also includes an invoice confirming a full engine and gearbox rebuild during its time in Ireland, along with more recent maintenance including brake caliper replacement.
The car presents in very good condition for its age, reflecting consistent use and ongoing care, and remains a well-sorted example that can be enjoyed as intended.
Although now tax exempt, the car does currently hold a valid MOT that will be renewed as part of our sales preparation process.
