Powered by the Mezger-derived 3.6-litre twin-turbocharged flat-six engine, the 996 Turbo S produces 450 HP and 620 Nm of torque, delivered through Porsche’s all-wheel-drive system. Turbo S specification included the factory X50 power upgrade and Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) as standard, providing exceptional braking performance and reduced unsprung weight. 0–62 mph is achieved in around 4.0 seconds and a top speed exceeding 190 mph.
Believed to be only 60 examples of 996 Turbo S Tiptronic Cabriolets produced, it was a limited production run toward the end of the 996 lifecycle, examples of this calibre are increasingly difficult to source. Every Turbo S was fitted from the factory with the X50 power upgrade and PCCBs, making it immediately more powerful and collectible than a standard Turbo.
